Zaw Lin “Brian” Htun is the Program Officer for the Disability Rights Fund and the Disability Rights Advocacy Fund for Myanmar; he serves as a liaison between DRF/DRAF program team and the grantees from Myanmar.
As a person with visual impairment, Brian has been serving in Myanmar’s disability movement for more than 10 years. He is one of the front lines PWD leaders and served in developing and delegation of CRPD reporting to the committee for Myanmar. He is serving a leadership role in disability-oriented committees nationally and OPDs. He firmly stands for disability rights and collaborates with different levels of government, funding agencies, and OPD at the grassroots and national level while serving as chair in Disabled People’s Development Organization (DPDO). He worked as a trainer in Eden Center projects manager in the Myanmar Federation of People with Disability and a director for the DPDO. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in the English language from Dagon University Myanmar and also received a Master’s degree in Strategic Planning and Public Policy from the University of the Philippines Losbanos (UPLB).
