Theophilus Michael Odaudu
I am a dedicated human rights advocate with a deep-rooted passion for disability rights and justice. Born in the serene town of Makurdi and raised in the vibrant city of Abuja, Nigeria, I bring over a decade of experience in disability rights advocacy to my role at the Disability Rights Fund (DRF). Prior to joining DRF in 2019, I served in the civil service for seven years.
In addition to my role at DRF, I sit on the boards of several human rights organizations and volunteer with numerous others. I hold an LLM in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa from the University of Pretoria and have authored published articles on the subject.
My contributions to the field have been recognized with awards, including the 2022 D-30 Disability Impact Award and the honor of being a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow. On a personal note, I am blessed with a loving family—my wife and three wonderful daughters. In my leisure time, I cherish moments spent with my family.
